This will be the 12th annual Kewash Half Marathon and we have a distance for everyone; a 5K, 10K and Half Marathon. 

The Kewash Half Marathon is a USATF certified race Course; Certification Code IA1005MF!  
 

The Kewash Nature Trail is a former railroad bed that winds for nearly 14 miles between the towns of Keota and Washington.  The Kewash Half Marathon, 10K & 5K Run is run on the section of trail between Washington and West Chester, which is part paved and part crushed limestone.  This trail is a mixture of woodland and prairie, which offers a scenic view of the surrounding rolling countryside; wildlife and wildflowers are abundant along this natural corridor.  Some of the highlights along the trail include Willow Pond, Hayes Timber and The Crooked Creek Bridge - one of the most scenic places on the trail.

The Half Marathon, 10K and 5K will all start and finish just off the town square.   This is an out and back, fast, non-technical course.  The Kewash Trail is a slight incline and decline with some flat areas.
